On June 17, the "Experience China" - The Second Doctoral Symposium on the Belt and Road Agricultural Science and Technology Collaborative Innovation organized by the China Scholarship Council was successfully held at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GSCAAS). Prof. Jiang Meilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of GSCAAS, and Prof. Wen Yang, Assistant President of GSCAAS, attended the symposium. On behalf of GSCAAS, Wen Yang delivered a welcome speech with more than 100 participants including supervisors, Chinese and international students, and alumni representatives joined the event both online and on site.

The symposium consisted of expert lectures, PhD candidate presentations, expert reviews, and on-site visits. Prof. Nie Fengying delivered a report titled "Agricultural Strategic Cooperation and Prospects Under the Belt and Road Initiative". Chinese and international PhD candidates conducted academic exchanges covering molecular breeding in crops, smart agriculture, biological control, agricultural environmental protection, animal disease prevention and control, and other frontier topics. During the symposium, the second "Experience China" Academic Stars and Celebrity Supervisors of GSCAAS were selected and awarded.

After the symposium, the participants visited the China Agricultural Museum and the Agricultural Foreign Affairs Gift Archive of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, gaining a deeper understanding of China's agricultural civilization, agricultural scientific and technological innovation, and agricultural diplomacy.
As one of the 2025 series of national condition education activities for international students, this event aims to integrate education on national conditions with academic exchanges, support the academic growth and innovation of international students, and cultivate more high-level agricultural professionals who understand and are friendly to China to serve the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
