The Graduate School Hosts a Seminar on Enhancing Food Security and Agricultural Development in Pakistan through the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor
On April 21, the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GSCAAS) invited Dr. Naveed Shahzad Amir, alumnus graduated in 2017 and agricultural specialist of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), to deliver a seminar titled "Leveraging BRI and CPEC for Strengthening Food Security and Agricultural Development in Pakistan".
During the seminar, Dr. Naveed provided a comprehensive overview of the current state of agriculture in Pakistan and explored the potential of BRI and CPEC in driving agricultural progress and food security in the region. He discussed the potential for agricultural trade between Pakistan and China as well as key technologies for agricultural development in Pakistan.
The event was highly interactive, with international students actively engaging in discussions and exchanging ideas on the future of agriculture in Pakistan, as well as the role of the BRI and CPEC in this context.
The seminar not only offered valuable insights into agricultural development in Pakistan but also highlighted the potential for international cooperation and knowledge sharing through BRI and CPEC. It emphasized the importance of leveraging global partnerships to address pressing challenges and create sustainable solutions.
