On September 17, a delegation of permanent representatives/ambasassadors to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) visited the College of International Education, GSCAAS. They held discussions with faculty and students on the international cooperation in agricultural science education and talent cultivation.

Dr. Dong Yiwei, Director of the International Education Office, briefed the delegation on the development overview of GSCAAS, the training system for international student, as well as scientific‑research innovation and international cooperation achievements of CAAS, showcasing our research strengths and features of international talent cultivation.

During the forum, international student representatives from the Graduate School shared their study and research experiences and gains in China. Delegation members presented cutting‑edge developments in global food and agriculture, and encouraged students to delve into agricultural research and serve as bridges for cross‑border agricultural cooperation and knowledge exchange. The two sides conducted thorough exchanges on pathways and models for cultivating international agricultural talents and took a group photo.

This visit further strengthened communication between GSCAAS, FAO and its member states, laying a solid foundation for deepening the international cooperation in agricultural science education. Taking this visit as an opportunity, GSCAAS will continuously improve the quality of the training for international‑oriented agricultural talent, and contribute to safeguarding global food security, advancing sustainable world agriculture and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
