GSCAAS-ULg PhD candidates training course held in Beijing
From December 6 to 15, the GSCAAS-ULg joint PhD candidates training course was held at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Nearly 40 PhD candidates participated in the training activity.
The two-week training course, with focuses on data analysis and academic writing, was delivered by three experienced teachers from the University of Leige (ULg).
The GSCAAS-ULg joint program, marking China’s first cooperative program with foreign university at doctoral level education in agriculture, was formally launched in 2013, according to professor Luo Changfu, vice president of the Graduate School.
Professor Frederic Francis, the joint PhD program coordinator at ULg, won the China Government Friendship Award in 2015 for his great contribution to the innovation of Chinese agricultural biosecurity and international education exchange and cooperation between China and Belgium.
