On Monday, October 22, Vice President Luo Changfu met with Mr Darren Ryder, the University of New England (UNE) Associate Dean and his colleague Ms Jackie Su from the UNE international at the school campus. Both parties had in-depth exchanges on further enhancing the level and effectiveness of cooperation, and a MOU was reached.

After a brief introduction on the school’s ambition towards one of the leading national graduate schools, Professor Luo proposed the two institutions to further strengthen collaboration in areas of student & faculty exchange, teaching resources sharing, and joint master and PhD programs. Luo said, in the future, GSCAAS is willing to work with UNE to fully explore the potential for in-depth cooperation.

Mr. Darren Ryder expressed his sincere gratitude to Prof. Luo for his warm welcome and passionate proposal. He pointed out that GSCAAS was an important strategic partner for UNE, and UNE would always be ready to collaborate with GSCAAS and take the existing cooperation to a whole new level.

During the meeting, both GSCAAS and UNE reached consensus on working closely on teaching collaboration, student & faculty exchange, guest lectures and joint master and PhD programs. Moreover, as a first concrete step in student exchange, GSCAAS will host a student group from UNE in 2019. Professor Luo also extended sincere invitation to the delegates to attend the 40th anniversary of GSCAAS in 2019, as GSCAAS regard UNE as an important partner.
